Cogwheel Climbing Pin-Rack Chain Rake

Model GT-PR

The Cogwheel GT-PR is a Climbing Pin-Rack Screen. The Climber Screen, with a single rake, removes debris from the underwater bar rack from the upstream side.

The GT-PR Climber Screen installs directly in a concrete channel and operates vertically or inclined, making it suitable for confined spaces, smaller footprints, and/or wide-deep channel lift stations. The GT-PR rake drive carriage can operate above or below the water level. Its pin-rack track system employs a gear-driven rake without the use of chains or cables. All drive equipment is readily accessible for inspection and maintenance.

  • Heavy duty bar screen with traveling rake on carriage

  • Bar openings 1/4" (6mm) or larger

  • Deep and wide channel applications

  • Material options for all 300 series SS or painted carbon steel for dry structure

OPERATION PRINCIPLES

Untreated waste or storm water is received from the upstream side of the bar screen. The gear driven rake is moved down a pin-rack by cogwheels where the rake engages the screen at the tank bottom. The captured debris is raised by the rake up the pin rack above the operating floor, where the wiper assembly is activated. Debris exits through a discharge chute into a receiving container/conveyor.
