The PRO-PACTOR/PRO-VEYOR hydraulic compactor/conveyor is designed to dewater and compact screenings from a bar screen and to transport the screenings to a container after they have been washed in the hopper. It is used mainly in sewage treatment plants to reduce the amount of free water and organic substances in screenings and to make it more compact for transportation and disposal. The hydraulic compactor is capable of transporting screenings to higher elevations and a greater distance than screw compactors.
The PRO-PACTOR/PRO-VEYOR LSH-P hydraulic compactor/conveyor allows variable dimensions of hopper openings and variable lengths of the delivery pipe to accommodate local conditions. The compactor/conveyor is driven by a hydraulic system at 1000 Psig under normal operating conditions.

The PRO-PACTOR hydraulic screenings compactor / conveyor consists of a base frame, trough hopper, cylindrical ram, hydraulic system and a delivery (discharge) pipe. The equipment drives water out of screenings during the forward motion of the ram against the dewatered screenings plug. The ram is driven by a hydraulic cylinder through a hydraulic pump system. Screenings are transported through a delivery (discharge) pipe angled upwards into the container. The configuration and length of delivery piping depends on the dimensions and position of the container. The wash water is first drained into a collecting trough underneath and then directed back into the channel, a storage tank, or pumped to its receiving end.
MATERIALS
The trough, hopper, ram and delivery pipe are made of 304 SS as standard material.
The hydraulic cylinder and system are made from standard materials.
The base frame is made of galvanized carbon steel as standard material.
OPERATING CONDITIONS
Indoor use
The hydraulic equipment shall be equipped with heating units below 20 ºC (68 ºF)
The timing of the compactor is provided through a control panel. The control panel can be expanded to control other devices such as bar / belt screens, conveyors.
