Modular Settling Plate Type
The PRO-PLATE clarifier uses plate modules to increase settling surface area, reduce footprint, and improve efficiency. It is typically constructed of 304 stainless steel, ABS plastic plate modules, and with no moving parts. PRO-Equipment, Inc. can supply complete clarifier systems to include pumps, flash/flocculation tanks, and conveyors.

Clarifying/Settling Plate Modules
PRO-PACK refers to prefabricated inclined plate modules. The modules are typically mounted in clarifiers to increase effective settling area. Inclined settling surface is achieved in each module with multiple layers of equal spacing. Alternate layers are criss-crossed to provide settling area, angled in opposite directions. This is to enhance the structural integrity, similar to an “egg crate” arrangement. Modules are made of bonded ABS thin wall plastic sheets.
Creation of low Reynolds number resulting in near laminar flow.
Secondary coagulation at the bottom of the module. The descending settled sludge creates a solids-contacting zone for the incoming solids to be flocculated/ coagulated/captured and/or filtered
High structural strength to avoid distortion of the plate structure. With standard construction, each module is designed to support more than 500 Kg (1100 lb) of weight.
Easy installation and removal. The modules are simply fixed by removable crossbars.
Essentially no maintenance. With specially treated smooth surface and sufficient inclination, no accumulation of settled sludge is anticipated in most applications.
Flexibility in application. Applying to new or old, round or rectangular shaped clarifiers, PRO-PACK can be fitted easily and increase settling power by more than 5 times.
Flexibility in sludge removal. The plate module mountings are independent of bottom sludge and/or top scum removal assemblies. Various removal mechanisms are compatible and feasible.
